MISSION AND PROGRAM OVERVIEW

For over 45 years, MobileMed’s mission has been to improve the health of low-income people who face the greatest barriers to care access. We strive to be a primary care medical home – providing high quality, comprehensive healthcare, delivered in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. Annually, MobileMed provides 14,000 medical visits to nearly 5,000 low-income, uninsured and Medicaid-enrolled residents of Montgomery County. In addition to our core primary care, our specialty services feature weekly Endocrine and Heart clinics, a weekly women’s clinic with primary gynecological care, and weekly podiatry and optometry for diabetic patients. Our values include healthcare access for all, quality services provided with compassion, respect and cultural sensitivity, and organizational excellence and integrity. Our commitment to accessibility is achieved through multiple fixed site and mobile van locations throughout Montgomery County, extensive outreach in collaboration with diverse faith-based and ethnic organizations, as well as public entities, and a policy of never turning anyone away for inability to pay.
