What to do if you have COVID-19 symptoms

If you are a MobileMed patient and you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (coronavirus),
please call the office (301-493-2400).

If you are alerted that you were in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have mild symptoms, you should self-quarantine. Do not leave your home unless absolutely necessary. If you contracted the virus, this reduces the likelihood that you will give it to others.

How to protect yourself and others

  • Practice social distancing. You should only come into contact with people who do not live with you for essential reasons. This reduces the likelihood that you will contract the virus.
  • Wear a mask in public settings where you will be around other people.
  • If you are alerted that you were in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have mild symptoms, you should self-quarantine. Do not leave your home unless absolutely necessary. If you contracted the virus, this reduces the likelihood that you will give it to others.
  • Call the emergency room if you have serious symptoms like difficulty breathing or persistent chest pain.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly. Always wash your hands after using the restroom, before preparing or eating food, and before touching your face.
