Thank you to everyone who attended the 2017 MobileMed Annual Meeting! If you weren’t able to make it, we missed you, and we hope that you’ll come to next year’s!
Our 2017 Annual Meeting was held in the Auditorium at Suburban Hospital, who generously hosted the event. It began with a Welcome from Peter Lowet, MobileMed’s Executive Director andGreetings from Jacky Schultz, the President of Suburban Hospital. Alan Hoffman, the President of the Board, presided over the installation of new Board Members Haydee Davila, Wendy Frosh, and Jackie Mbi Muia. The Keynote Address, “The Future of the ACA and Maryland Exchange,” by Jonathan Blum, the EVP for Carefirst, was well-received for its deep insight into the status of healthcare in our state and valuable discussion of possible outcomes.
Peter Lowet then presented MobileMed’s Year in Review and the MobileMed Awards, including significant staff anniversaries – 10 Years for Qing Chen, Bebe Kouyate, and Ruby Sears, 5 years for Kathy Luton and Saggy Ramos – and Awards. Nayan Uttarkar received the Cohen Outstanding Employee Award, and Dr. Paul Burka received the Meyersburg Award for Volunteer Excellence.

- Jonathan Blum, EVP at CareFirst, delivered an excellent Keynote.
- Qing Chen was present to be recognized for her 10 year staff anniversary
- Kathy Luton celebrates five years as MobileMed’s Clinical Director.
- Nayan Uttarkar was the recipient of the Cohen Outsanding Employee Award
- Dr. Paul Burka received the Meyersburg Award for Volunteer Excellence.
